Option #3: Nick Foles + 3rd round pick

Yes, I am buying the Nick Foles hype…

…a little bit.

I like Foles first and foremost as a leader and for the resilience he’s shown since being cut by the Rams and Jeff Fisher.

Foles has played well at every stop except for his stint with the Rams, which indicates to me that he can excel in a favorable system, and I like the thought of him reuniting with his offensive coordinator from 2014 in Philadelphia, Bill Musgrave.

If the Broncos choose the Foles route, they will likely have to surrender the 40th overall pick. If they acquire Foles, I wouldn’t mind seeing them also use a third round pick (they are projected to have two) on a quarterback that could be developed in case Foles doesn’t work out, he’s hurt, or a contract extension is not able to be reached by 2019.

If the Broncos could get the Super Bowl MVP Foles and someone like Kyle Lauletta or Mike White, I would be good with that. I think Foles has proven himself more than just a placeholder multiple times.
