Ranking the Denver Broncos top 10 quarterback scenarios

Option #5: Case Keenum + Top 5 pick

Now we’re into the top five options.

This option of Keenum and a top five pick edged out my borderline preferable option of Tyrod and Lamar Jackson because of the fact that I highly value the top quarterbacks in this year’s draft.

Again, those players are Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold, and Baker Mayfield.

If the Broncos come away from this offseason with one of those guys, regardless of what veteran they sign, I like that option.

This option is down the list quite a bit despite Keenum’s strong season because if the Broncos invest heavily in Keenum (like we talked about before) then drafting a top five player as well could create an unnecessary competition and keep the top five pick off the field.

There would have to be a clear timeline for Keenum in Denver. That’s something I’m not so sure he would be interested in…
