Option #6: Tyrod Taylor + Lamar Jackson

I actually quite like the idea of Tyrod Taylor and Lamar Jackson being the pairing the Broncos go with for the future, because both players offer the ability to beat teams with their legs.

Not that other quarterbacks on this list don’t, but both Taylor and Jackson have rare type of speed for the quarterback position, and I think you could construct an offense that would properly suit both of these players.

Taylor was once pursued by the Broncos when Gary Kubiak was on staff as a coach, and if he becomes available as a free agent this offseason, they could again call upon him.

If the Broncos were to sign Taylor, another great option — perhaps tied for sixth — would be to just draft Rosen/Darnold/Mayfiled at no. 5 overall. That wouldn’t upset me either.

I might be higher on Tyrod than much of Broncos Country, but I think he’s a player that is well-respected league-wide and he obviously had a great game against Denver this past season. He limits mistakes, and I could see him really being able to help the Broncos in that regard.

Jackson is the most dynamic player at QB in this year’s draft class. To me, this is a high upside option that could come fairly cheap. It might get a bump higher on my list before all is said and done.
