Option #7: Case Keenum + Day 2 pick

Case Keenum and a day two pick should honestly be lower on this list, because of the cost.

I could see Keenum commanding nearly $20 million on the open market this offseason, and he’s going to be seeking a multi-year contract.

If that is the case, I really hope the Broncos pass altogether, or another team outbids them and they ‘miss out’. If the Broncos are going to pay a veteran quarterback more than $20 million, it should be Kirk Cousins and Kirk Cousins only.

But I can’t help but feel like this option exists.

In fact, this won’t be the last time Keenum pops up as an option on here.

If the Broncos are able to sign Keenum to a three year deal with a team option for the final two years, I wouldn’t mind that, even at the price depending on what else the Broncos do in free agency.

But Keenum is going to want stability after the season he just had. If the Broncos sign him, their best option may be to draft someone on day two that can eventually be the successor or perhaps even beat out Keenum for a job down the line. Again, those options include guys like Mike White, Kyle Lauletta, Lamar Jackson, and Mason Rudolph.
