C.J. Anderson, Running Back

2018 cap hit: $4,500,000
2018 dead money (if traded or released): $0
Cap savings: $4,500,000

The Broncos can release or trade Anderson with no financial penalty against the cap, so this move seems imminent whether via trade or release.

I love C.J. Anderson, and have since his breakout preseason in 2013 when he was a rookie undrafted player. It’s unfortunate that the business of the NFL comes to this, but the Broncos obviously really like Devontae Booker and De’Angelo Henderson, and if this move helps free up some necessary space, I think there would even be a few teams that might take on Anderson in a trade.

One team that could specifically be a good fit is the Miami Dolphins, where Anderson would reunite with both Adam Gase and Eric Studesville.
