Offseason Recap

More from Predominantly Orange

This offseason is all about addressing some of the major holes on the Broncos’ offense. We didn’t even touch on the possibilities if the Broncos were to trade or let go of one of Emmanuel Sanders or Demaryius Thomas, or what they could look to do at the tight end position (maybe bring in Foles’ Eagles teammate Trey Burton?) but there are obviously a ton of options if you don’t invest almost $30 million in one player.

The Broncos, however, will try to do that with Kirk Cousins.

If you go this route and invest a prime draft pick in a player like Foles, you’d have to supplement other major needs in free agency, so the Broncos would likely have to find a bargain at tight end, possibly at tackle, and even cornerback if they part ways with Aqib Talib.

Just filling in some other holes, and maybe going with an Eagles-themed offseason, the Broncos could feasibly put together something like this:

QB: Nick Foles/Mike White/Chad Kelly
RB: Le’veon Bell/Devontae Booker/De’Angelo Henderson
WR1: Demaryius Thomas/Jordan Taylor
WR2: Emmanuel Sanders/Carlos Henderson/Isaiah McKenzie
TE: Trey Burton/Jake Butt/Jeff Heuerman
LT: Jason Peters (trade)
LG: Quenton Nelson
C: Matt Paradis
RG: Ron Leary
RT: Garett Bolles

DE: Derek Wolfe/Zach Kerr
NT: Domata Peko/Shelby Harris
DE: Adam Gotsis/DeMarcus Walker
EDGE: Von Miller/Shaq Barrett
EDGE: Shane Ray/Deiontrez Mount
ILB: Brandon Marshall
ILB: Christian Sam
CB: Chris Harris Jr./Aaron Colvin (FA)
CB: Bradley Roby/Brendan Langley
S: Justin Simmons/Will Parks
S: Darian Stewart

Some sacrifices would have to be made to put this kind of roster together, but that is one of the many scenarios facing the Broncos this offseason.
