The New England Patriots will represent the AFC in Super Bowl 52. How would a win by a non-divisional rival mean for the Denver Broncos offseason plans?

Denver’s most hated non-divisional rival in recent history, the Patriots will attempt to win their sixth title. Just seeing the sight of that would be sickening to most. But how would that impact the Denver Broncos offseason plans?

We already know that the Denver Broncos will need a quarterback to help combat Tom Brady, pending his plans in football. Being able to match him blow for blow will be helpful. Denver could not do that this season. They were pummeled 41-16 in front of their fans.

With the departures of Matt Patricia and Josh McDaniels this offseason for head coaching gigs, it will be interesting to see how the team works. Of course, you can’t rule out Bill Belichick’s coaching genius.

What I believe the Denver Broncos need to focus on is being able to find an inside linebacker in order to combat the likes of Rob Gronkowski and the running backs in their back field. The Broncos have the secondary to combat Brandon Cooks, Julian Edelman, and Chris Hogan. It just comes down to execution.

One thing that stood out to me with New England is their defense. It was not spectacular. There is no doubt they will look to improve on some positions. But if the Denver Broncos can get an offense that can score more than the 16 that they scored this season, the Broncos will have a solid chance.

A New England win in the Super Bowl will bring some changes for the Denver Broncos this offseason. If they can make the right moves, they could compete with them in 2018.
