New York Jets

The New York Jets have some of the most cap space this offseason, as well as a top 10 draft pick. They brought back head coach Todd Bowles, and look like they might have a defense on the rise.

That being said, the Jets’ roster is not where it needs to be in order for this team to be in contention to sign Cousins.

They have enough money, absolutely. They could offer Cousins over $30 million per season and make his decision very difficult.

But when it comes to his desire to win, the Jets are a little ways off, in my opinion. I don’t foresee them being a major contender for him unless they bring a big time offer to the table, and have deals in place with other big name free agents to come in and join him.

As Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell recently said, not even $60 million cash would be enough to get him to sign with the Jets. I think the Jets are going to have to rebuild mostly through the draft or trades, similar to what we saw last year from the 49ers.
