Nick Foles

I’ll preface this again by saying that I am sure Nick Foles is a really good guy. And of course, he’s played extremely well in the playoffs both of the opportunities he’s been given, at least statistically.

But over the long haul, there’s nothing about Foles that would get me so excited I would trade valuable assets for him.

That’s what someone is going to have to do if they want Foles.

Not only is he going to have to be acquired via trade, but his contract is going to have to be completely re-done. If Foles is on the Eagles’ roster as of February 2019, the final three years of his contract void, and he becomes a free agent.

So, you’re talking about trading for Foles and signing him to a long-term deal based on his recent success.

That’s a recipe for complete disaster.
