Third Round (pick 1/3): Leighton Vander Esch, LB, Boise State

The Broncos obviously had to make the tough decision to let Todd Davis and Corey Nelson walk in free agency thanks to the financial commitment both players required, so an upgrade was mandatory in this draft.

Leighton Vander Esch racked up 141 total tackles this past season, and had four forced fumbles along with three interceptions.

This guy makes plays all over the field, and could be a perfect fit for what the Broncos need alongside Brandon Marshall at the inside linebacker position.

Vander Esch has excellent range and would be a great value early in the third round.
