Second Round: Kyle Lauletta, QB, Richmond

After missing on the top quarterbacks at the top of the first round, the Broncos went with a player they fell in love with in the pre-draft process in Kyle Lauletta, a small school player from Richmond who will come in and compete as a rookie.

The Broncos also felt like this was the best case scenario for giving Paxton Lynch one last shot, as there’s very little pressure to play Lauletta right away with Bradford in the fold.

Lauletta has all the leadership skills you desire in a young quarterback prospect, to go along with a great arm and all the pro tools you could want. When you look at the second tier of quarterbacks in this year’s draft, Lauletta is the type of player that looks like he could really out-play his draft status quickly.
