Harrison Phillips, DL, Stanford

One of the players I was most excited about on the defensive side of the ball in this year’s Senior Bowl was Stanford’s Harrison Phillips, and he did not disappoint.

Being coached by Bill Kollar, Phillips was a star all week in practice and showed off his versatility, playing end in a three-man front as well as kicking inside to play some nose.

He showed off that versatility at Stanford, and with his quickness off the snap and ability to make plays in the backfield, he’s the type of talent that could force the Broncos to take a defensive player early in this year’s draft, even with as many offensive needs as they have.

Phillips plays with really good pad level and obviously with his explosiveness, he is very tough to handle on the defensive interior. He’d be a great fit for the Broncos’ scheme.
