Five Senior Bowl players I want on the Denver Broncos
Taking a look at five players playing in the 2018 Reese’s Senior Bowl I would love to see on the Denver Broncos, including Baker Mayfield…
After the week of practices at the 2018 Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, who are some of the top prospects the Denver Broncos should be targeting in the 2018 NFL Draft?
This year’s crop was a pretty impressive one, so let’s dive in, starting with a familiar name…
Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma
After spending a week coaching him and watching him work, I have to believe the Broncos will covet Mayfield in the 2018 NFL Draft.
That is, of course, assuming they don’t land Kirk Cousins, who is still apparently their top target…
I also think Josh Allen showed enough improvement this week to warrant consideration at number five overall, but Mayfield is the player the Broncos should be coveting most from this year’s Senior Bowl class.
He is an incredible athlete, poised under pressure, accurate with the football, and a flat out gamer. He made some great adjustments throughout the week to his game, including taking snaps under center and working on his drops and footwork.
Mayfield did nothing to hurt himself at the Senior Bowl this week, to be certain. I think he’s going to be the Broncos’ top target at number five overall if they don’t land the big fish at QB in free agency.
