It appears the Denver Broncos have made Kirk Cousins the top priority heading into NFL Free Agency. This NFL Draft is the best scenario for the franchise.

Kirk Cousins will command a good deal of money in the offseason. The Denver Broncos need to be maneuvering on their current roster to make it happen. However, the Broncos must allow wiggle room for a potential move. Let’s say Cousins is the starter for the Broncos next season. Denver will find themselves picking best player as they always done and a John Elway strong suit.

With a new crop of running backs possibly in the backfield for the Denver Broncos, they should strike while the iron is hot and pick a player early. The position is deep in this NFL Draft and the Broncos will have their opportunity to pick their franchise back. C.J. Anderson is potential free agent and Jamaal Charles is a free agent. Devontae Booker has a future, but has not taken a stranglehold to become starter.

Another place to regroup might be wide receiver. Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders both see an uncertain future with the team. This leaves two doors open for the Broncos, but I expect one to return. The Broncos can upgrade the position with depth at the third wide receiver spot. Numerous players can be had in the early or middle rounds. It would be shocking if the Broncos did not draft another wide receiver in the NFL Draft.

Offensive line is one of the three biggest positions to consider in free agency or in the draft. It will not matter where the pick happens, the Broncos will reinforce the unit with who they add. From the start of the rounds to the finish, the franchise gets a choice of a plethora to choose out of the offensive tackles and guards.

Look for the Denver Broncos to address other positions in this Mock Draft.
