Fourth Round

108. 45. Pick Analysis. Tight End. Scouting Report. South Dakota State. DallasGoedert. player

For me, this could be the sneakiest of sneaky draft picks in the entire draft. I have heard comparisons of Rob Gronkowski when his name was mentioned. But here we go. In the fourth round, the Broncos first pick up Dallas Goedert.

The tight end position has been really lacking in recent years. Virgil Green is nearly a non factor, Jeff Heuerman has not lived up to his potential. A.J. Derby was traded. Jake Butt was hurt. So, why not draft a guy who could help out Jake Butt once he is healthy and gets on the field.

If this Denver Broncos offense featured a two tight end set of Butt and Goedert, I would literally cry at the beauty of it. Goedert can be such a playmaker on the offensive side of the football.  A former basketball star, he can be a huge playmaker.

The only issue is how will he do against stronger competition? I have no doubt that he can make some plays for this Denver Broncos offense.

In the last pick before rounds five through seven, the Denver Broncos go with a wide receiver. With the future of Demaryius Thomas and/or Emmanuel Sanders in question, it would make sense to go with a wide receiver here.

He is pretty small at five foot, eleven inches. But he could bring some added speed at the slot position. He holds Memphis records at the position and had a solid 2016 campaign. In every game he has played in, he has caught at least one pass. The Broncos could use his hands to help get some added yards on drives.
