Harrison Phillips, DE, North Roster

The Denver Broncos coaching staff will get an extensive look at Harrison Phillips, a defensive end from Stanford.

The Broncos defensively improved last season at the DT position with the surprise play of Shelby Harris and veteran Domata Peko.

Harrison Phillips could be a surprise pickup for an NFL team mid-NFL draft. As a 1 or 2i technique player, Phillips’ strengths are primarily at stopping the run.

His weakness according to several scouts are in the pass rush department, but with the NFL evolving with elite edge rushers, Phillips could fit right in to the NFL scheme of plugging the middle.

He has strong hands and extends with his strike off the line of scrimmage. He had a phenomenal season at Stanford finishing with 103 tackles (17 TFL), and 7.5 sacks.

Phillips will get a chance to perform on the North Roster next week under the Broncos coaching staff.
