5 Players To Watch For In The Senior Bowl
By Cody Roark
Da’Shawn Hand, DE, South Roster
Da’Shawn Hand is a tree at defensive end, and can make an impact for an NFL team.
His 6’4″ 280 pound frame is intimidating to opposing offenses. He possesses a strong first step and his power will make it a difficult task for a variety of NFL tackles to stop him.
One trait that I like about Hand is that he consistently maintains gap integrity. Hand squeezes down the end of the line of scrimmage and makes plays at the contain level.

In his four years at Alabama he totaled 9 sacks and only 71 tackles, but I’m looking beyond statistical production.
What stat sheets don’t show is that he has the ability to shut down the run on one side of the field. His frame and size alone will make him a late Draft pickup or a potential steal as an undrafted Free Agent.
Hand has the opportunity to increase his stock value if he is able to perform well at the Senior Bowl.
