Andreas Knappe, Right Tackle

Knappe is a mountainous man, fitting the exact profile the Broncos have consistently looked at to fill their right tackle position since John Elway took over.

Apparently on that side of the line, bigger is not only better, it’s the requirement.

Knappe certainly fills the ‘bigger’ criteria.

Listed at 6-foot-9, 325 pounds, Knappe is huge and perhaps just a hard guy to get around in general at tackle. The Denmark native has been playing football since he was 18, and was not prioritized in the 2017 NFL Draft because he was an older rookie (born in 1991) and didn’t have the type of athleticism preferred for his size.

But when you watch his highlight reel, he looks like a player worthy of devleopment. He’s obviously a big, strong player with good tackle skills. He may be limited athletically and he may also already be approaching 27 years old, but this is a player worth monitoring at a position of need for the Broncos.
