Denver Broncos: A Dream About Jimmy Graham In Denver
I woke up this morning with a dream the Denver Broncos added tight end Jimmy Graham in free agency in 2018. Could it be a possibility?
This upcoming season, the Denver Broncos will have a healthy Jake Butt to the fold and potential starter next year. However, the Broncos will need another play maker at tight end.
Enter: Jimmy Graham.
Graham is a mixture of tight end and wide receiver, but is a tight end first and foremost.
Virgil Green played inconsistent, but left a lot on the field. He is a tremendous blocker and good receiver, but he is not a play maker. Green might be a possible free agent. Jeff Heuerman has the makings to stretch the field, but like Green has turned himself into a terrific blocker.
Heuerman was graded the best blocker of the position group. AJ Derby started the season with the Broncos as a receiver at tight end but never separated from the group. Derby was released mid-season.
Graham would give the Broncos the threat Derby displayed, but better. He’s an athlete that moves exceptionally well as a route runner. Graham is also massive target at tight end that would solve numerous red zone issues of the past two seasons.

There’s another dynamic that gives the Broncos offense explosive. The offense could potentially have three weapons in Emmanuel Sanders, Demaryius Thomas and now Graham. However, it is not logically for the Broncos to have three targets paid upwards of $10 million a year. Graham, more than likely will get less than that, but his versatility gives that opportunity for more.
It is a great thing to have dreams, but this is a straight delusion. The Broncos should focus their attention on cost-friendly options and the NFL Draft.
