Alfred Morris

The Denver Broncos have made the intentions known who they want as starting quarterback. Kirk Cousins is the top target of all the positions of interest to the Broncos. This makes Alfred Morris a very interesting candidate in the backfield with the Broncos. There’s plenty of zone blocking scheme narrative in the front office. Morris does all the little things well as a runner. Decent pass blocker and runs between the tackles pretty well.

The 29-year old Morris oddly enough played with Cousins when he entered the NFL in 2012. Morris ran for 1,000+ yards in three straight seasons with Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins. In Washington, the familiarity is there between both of them. More importantly if the Broncos sign Morris and Cousins, the comfortable level will make it an easy transition for both parties.

Signing Morris to an inexpensive two-year contract gives the Broncos the opportunity to give Devontae Booker the starting job and draft a running back. The options remain open.

Odds: 20 percent.
