With Todd Davis set to become an unrestricted free agent heading in 2018, Denver could bring him back, but what are some options for the team if he leaves?

The Denver Broncos will head into 2018 refreshed and possibly renewed at several positions once mini-camp begins.

Specifically, the Broncos may look to revamp the inside linebacker position via Free Agency or the NFL Draft in April.

Todd Davis, a starter for the Broncos interior linebacking core will be an unrestricted free agent. Davis started and played in 14 games for the Broncos this season and was a key player in stopping the run.

Davis’ production in 2017 dipped in comparison to 2016. He amassed 82 total tackles this season, opposite of Brandon Marshall’s 106 tackle season.

For the Broncos, upgrading the position is one of the many priorities they face heading into the 2018 season. The ideal candidate for the Broncos would possess the ability to stuff the run, and cover receiving threats across the field.

Denver has struggled in that department following Danny Trevathan’s departure in 2015. Trevathan and Marshall complemented one another with the perfect combination of pass coverage and filling their run gaps.

Here are some candidates that could help the Broncos revamp their depth and impact at inside linebacker.
