Chad Kelly, QB

My opinion of Chad Kelly may not be shared by the masses, but I still believe he’s the most talented quarterback currently on the Broncos’ roster.

I would take his college tape over anyone else the Broncos have.

Yet, Kelly was a seventh round pick for a reason. He had off-field concerns coming into the NFL, as well as injury concerns.

The Broncos drafted Kelly with the final pick of the entire draft, preventing him from hitting free agency and being able to pick a team.

Some say this was as a favor to Jim Kelly, but even if that’s the case, the guy didn’t get cut out of camp and wasn’t placed on injured reserve until the last possible moment.

The Broncos and specifically QB coach Bill Musgrave (now the offensive coordinator) have been working with Kelly all year and hopefully will get a long look at what he can do in OTAs. He’s talented enough to warrant a longer look, in my opinion.

I doubt Kelly is the Broncos’ starter for 2018, but I do hope he makes the roster.
