Brendan Langley

The Broncos took a risk on the upside of Langley in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, and so far, they haven’t seen the type of results I think they would have wanted to on the field.

Langley is a former wide receiver, so he’s still getting used to the cornerback position, but the raw talent is there. He has a ton of speed, ball skills, and physicality, but he lacks the technique and that’s part of what Greg Robinson is being brought in to work on.

Even a player drafted late in the third round, I think the expectation is that this guy could develop into a starter or at least a player who plays about 65-75 percent of the defensive snaps eventually. The Broncos were unable to get that from Kayvon Webster, so they need to be intentional about developing Langley and not giving up on him.

This season, Langley was replaced in the defensive rotation by undrafted Marcus Rios.

For 2018, I want to see Langley get into the rotation on defense a little bit more, perhaps in the slot, and also see what he can do more as a returner.
