Brock Osweiler, QB (UFA)

What happens with Brock Osweiler this offseason after his crazy 2017 offseason depends entirely on the Broncos’ plans at the quarterback position.

I know that sounds obvious, but let me explain.

If the Broncos plan on drafting a quarterback early, they may as well keep Osweiler around as their backup quarterback. He’s not going to be as expensive as some of the other backup options available, and he’s already been in the building with Bill Musgrave as his position coach for a year.

If the Broncos are looking to save cash this offseason and go the rookie route at quarterback, I would keep Osweiler.

If John Elway decides to go for a veteran like Kirk Cousins, well then Osweiler is gone. Again.

It’s pretty much as simple as that.

Bring in a rookie, consider keeping Osweiler. Bring in a veteran, Osweiler is out.
