The Denver Broncos have added another member to their coaching staff for the 2018 season, signing former Chicago Bears wide out coach Zach Azzanni.

The coaching staff for the Denver Broncos is coming along well as Zach Azzanni from the Chicago Bears will join Vance Joseph’s coaching staff as the team’s wide receiver’s coach for the 2018 season. He will replace Tyke Tolbert in this role.

Azzanni has been around the collegian level for quite some time before joining the NFL ranks as the wide receiver’s coach for the Chicago Bears in 2017. Before he joined Chicago in 2017, he was a well-known coach in college that worked with some of the most interesting names at that level. Some of those names include Jack Doyle, Tim Tebow, and Antonio Brown.

He was also named the Wide Receivers Coach of the Year in 2009 by the site FootballScoop.com.

I am curious to see how he can bring out the best in players like Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. Having worked with Antonio Brown while he was in college is quite impressive. We all know how Brown is doing today in the NFL. If Zach Azzanni could bring that out of Demaryius Thomas or even Emmanuel Sanders, imagine the possibilities.

It would be a refreshing change of pace if he can help out. This wide receiver corp struggled to stay healthy and consistent during the 2017 season. However, he might be working with a new crop of wide outs.

With this new hire, the Denver Broncos need only a outside linebackers coach. Once hired, the new staff can get to work. They will certainly have their work cut out for them to get a 5-11 team back into Super Bowl contention.
