Cameron Brate, Buccaneers

Former Harvard grad Cameron Brate may be one of the NFL’s most underrated players.

Over the past three seasons, he’s racked up 17 receiving touchdowns and has proven to be one of Jameis Winston’s favorite targets since he was drafted in 2015.

The Broncos have a very good in-line blocking tight end in Jeff Heuerman already, so they could be looking more at pass-catching options in free agency. If that’s the case, Brate fits the bill.

He’s one of the most effective receiving weapons in the league at the tight end position, and will be 27 at the start of next season. He’s entering the prime years of his career, and I think this is a player that’s only going to get better with age.

Tampa Bay has obviously got a budding star at tight end in O.J. Howard, one of our pre-draft favorites from last year, so moving on from Brate seems plausible and I think he’s a player Denver will definitely have interest in.
