Denver Broncos: Scouting 2018 NFL Draft in CFP title game
4. Running Back
This game has four NFL-caliber running backs that will be eligible for the 2018 NFL Draft.
Alabama’s duo of Damien Harris and Bo Scarbrough is as good as you could draw up on paper, and then you watch Nick Chubb and Sony Michel at Georgia, and it’s no wonder why both of these teams are playing in this game.
To me, Harris is the most NFL-ready player of this group because he can not only run between the tackles, make big plays on the perimeter, and catch passes, but he’s an excellent blocker on third downs.
Chubb is a playmaker and one that has overcome a serious injury. His combination of vision, power, and acceleration have me excited about his potential at the next level.
Michel might be the most talented all-around back of the group. He reminded me of Alvin Kamara in Georgia’s semi-final game against Oklahoma. He’s got big time speed and averages nearly 10 yards per touch.
Scarbrough is an enigma to me. One game, he can be physically dominant and take over games, and then the next seven games, he will be a non-factor.
I don’t get it.
That said, these guys are all very talented, and if I had to guess, I would say they get drafted in this order:
1. Sony Michel
2. Damien Harris
3. Nick Chubb
4. Bo Scarbrough
