With plenty of moves to be made by the Denver Broncos in 2018, the team should do what they can to hold onto Aqib Talib for next season.
The Denver Broncos know that they need to make some moves in 2018 if they plan on being in the Super Bowl discussion. Super Bowl 50 was only two years ago. One of the big members of that Super Bowl team is Aqib Talib.
When Talib gets his hands on the football, he has the potential of returning it for touchdowns. We saw that in Week Two when he returned a Dak Prescott interception 103 yards for a touchdown.
With so many changes set to happen in the offseason, one change that could happen is the Broncos trading or releasing Aqib Talib. Mike Klis over at 9 News references age and money as the reason why Talib could be a casualty this offseason.
I can understand the age part, but Aqib Talib is playing as one of the top cornerbacks in the league. And I certainly understand money being an issue. Talib is set to make $11 million in 2018. They could use that money. Especially when the Broncos need a big time quarterback that they could look at in free agency.
One thing I would consider with Aqib Talib is have him take a paycut. Bradley Roby will be successful, but I want to see more of him before I can be sure of the former first rounder. Cody Roark over at Locked on Broncos talks a bit about the Aqib Talib situation here at around the 12:30 mark.
Having Talib take a paycut would really benefit the Denver Broncos. He has grown into one of the leaders of the Broncos defense. It will be important to have that leadership on the team.

If Talib is willing to do that, it would really help the Denver Broncos in a big way. I would like to see that happen. I think Roby will be ready down the road. But leadership on a team that is looking to get younger is so important in my eyes.
Broncos Country would like to see Aqib Talib back next year. I think it makes more sense to figure out a way to let him stay.
