2nd Round: Chukwuma Okorafor, OT, Western Michigan

The Broncos obviously have a need at quarterback, but what about offensive tackle?

Garett Bolles’ rookie season hasn’t been perfect, obviously, but that wasn’t expected, either.

With an offseason in the Broncos’ strength program, Bolles can improve his anchor and become the athletic, dancing bear at tackle the Broncos envisioned when they picked him. But there’s still a huge hole on the right side.

The Broncos could draft a player like Okorafor in the second round to solidify that side of the line, whether by moving him to the right tackle position, or asking Bolles to move over there.

Ideally, since Bolles has played left tackle already in the NFL, they would keep him there if possible, but he has the skillset to play right tackle really well also.

Okorafor has been a starter at both right tackle and left tackle in his collegiate career, but he’s perhaps one of the top left tackles in the entire draft class.

Denver may have to hope there’s a run on other linemen before Okorafor comes off the board, or perhaps they could spend this pick on a player like Oregon’s Tyrell Crosby, Mississippi State’s Martinas Rankin, or a number of other players in a strong class of tackles.
