The Denver Broncos have reached halftime against the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field. Here are the first half reactions and thoughts after 30 minutes.

In a battle between two teams that are just playing for pride, it has been a defensive game thus far. The Denver Broncos are looking for their sixth win of the season. One more loss would guarantee double digit losses.

The running game for the Broncos has looked decent. C.J. Anderson now sits under 100 yards away from his first 1,000 yard season. For a player who looks so dominate since he became the starter at running back a few years back, it is crazy that he hasn’t registered a 1,000 yard season.

A big focus on the game is Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins. He did not look good to start, missing on his first five passes. He had a solid drive that led to three points.

As for Brock Osweiler, he looked good. However, towards the end of the second quarter, he fumbled and Washington was able to recover it.

That fumble turned into six points as Kirk Cousins threw a touchdown pass to Jamison Crowder right before the two minute warning to give Washington the lead.

For how this game has gone, Denver is still in it. They just need to keep running the ball and limit the mistakes. Everything was looking solid until the Osweiler fumble.

Another thing that needs to happen is getting more pressure on Kirk Cousins and keeping him in the pocket. Once he escapes and runs, it has hurt the Denver Broncos. Von Miller has done a solid job in putting on the pressure. They just need to finish it off with a sack.

The Washington Redskins will receive to start the second half. Let’s play smart and get that win. Go Broncos!
