4th Round (pick 2/2): Kyle Lauletta, QB, Richmond

With the addition of Kirk Cousins, the Broncos would have a quarterback room that includes Cousins, Paxton Lynch, and Chad Kelly. If Cousins is added, it would be reasonable to assume that Lynch would demand a trade, but the Broncos may not grant him that.

Who knows?

It seems more likely than not that Trevor Siemian is gone, and if Cousins is brought in, it would mean Brock Osweiler is probably not coming back.

So, the Broncos would have to replenish the quarterback position through the draft, which they should do anyway, and Lauletta is one of my favorite non-first round quarterbacks in this class.

Watch this mic’d up session, and you’ll know why.

This kid is a natural-born leader, and has been extremely productive at Richmond, running an offense that has some clear pro-style concepts.

He hasn’t always played against top competition, but when given the chance (2016 vs. Virginia), he excelled and led his team to a win.

Lauletta is going to be showcased in this year’s Senior Bowl, where we’ll get an up-close look at him as a player and game manager. I think near the top of the fourth round, the Broncos could do no better than this guy.
