3rd Round (pick 2/2): Akrum Wadley, RB, Iowa

The Denver Broncos could be looking at a complete makeover of their running back position this offseason, with the thought that Devontae Booker would enter next season as the team’s number one back.

If that’s the case, it leaves Denver with Booker and rookie De’Angelo Henderson, so I could see another back being brought in through the top three rounds of the draft.

Wadley is a personal favorite, and a player that I think could help a ton in this offense. Think of him as the Chris Thompson in Denver’s offense with Cousins at quarterback.

Wadley has very good vision and toughness for a player of his size, but his game-breaking speed and scoring ability is why I love his potential at the NFL level.

If you have a trio at the top of your running back group of Devontae Booker, Wadley, and Henderson, I think you could do really well and wear defenses down. All three of those players are capable of making plays in the passing game.
