The Denver Broncos are not planning on moving on from Vance Joseph at the end of the 2017 season, per multiple reports. This will be closely monitored…

The Denver Broncos reportedly have no current plans to move on from Vance Joseph at the end of the 2017 season.

This update comes just a couple of days after it was reported that the Broncos — both John Elway and Joe Ellis — want things to ‘work out’ with Joseph.

What exactly does that look like?

Well, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Elway and Ellis want to see the Broncos be competitive in the final three games of the season, and nothing like the team that lost eight straight games and struggled to be more than just a name to cross off the schedule.

This report from Rap Sheet comes on the heels of a report from ‘local blogger’ Benjamin Allbright, who has maintained for a while now that Joseph is going nowhere:

This makes two reliable sources that have acknowledged both of the following (at some point or another):

1. Joseph is safe for now and;

2. He’s not out of the woods yet.

Amidst the Broncos’ eight-game losing streak, nothing was taken off the table in terms of postseason evaluation for Joseph and the current staff. The firing of Mike McCoy as the team’s offensive coordinator was the clearest indicator that everyone had been put on notice.

Joseph needed to put some things together before the end of the season, and the 23-0 win against the Jets at home was a good start. It may have cost the Broncos a spot in the draft order, but it might have also pleased the men upstairs to see the team put together such a complete effort despite injuries and the way things had been going.

The Broncos stand a good chance of winning this game against the Colts just based on the talent on their roster alone, but as has been the story all season, they have to find ways to win the turnover battle.

This is a huge game for Vance Joseph and his future with the team.
