The Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts meet for the sixth time in four years. We take a look at the matchup between the teams.

Over the last few seasons, the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts have met in what was a battle between two AFC power houses. 2017 proves to be a different story this time around. With a variety of factors, including the quarterback position, both the Broncos and Colts see themselves three weeks away from a disappointing season.

For the Indianapolis Colts, the entire team seems to be lost without Andrew Luck. With him, they have proven how solid they can be. Not having Luck really shows the weaknesses on the offensive and defensive side of the football.

In fact, the Colts are in the bottom five on both offense and defense for points, total yards, and passing yards. There is no doubt that on paper the Broncos should be able to chalk up another win this season.

The multitude of injuries by the Colts could also be playing a factor in their play. This team has been hit by the injury bug quite a bit this year. Perhaps the only thing going for the Colts is that this game is in Indianapolis. Denver has had a difficult time winning in the state of Indiana.

Denver will look to win their second game in a row after an impressive showing against the Jets last week. The defense will look to perform around the zero points and 100 yards allowed.

Trevor Siemian will be looking to improve. He did not have good numbers stat wise, but he did protect the football. He will lead the team without Ron Leary, who was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday.

Let’s take a look at the key matchups and what to watch for.

What to Watch For

Can the Denver Broncos secure another win?

With how the season has gone for Denver, getting a second win in a row could boost this team’s confidence. While a win won’t help their cause for a better draft pick, jobs are being played for at this point in the season. There is a better chance players or coaches stick around with a win.

How will Indianapolis respond on a short week after a heartbreaking loss?

In the snowy Buffalo conditions, the Colts did everything they could to get a win in conditions that the team most likely are not used to. However, Buffalo and LeSean McCoy ended that hope of victory. Now on a short week, it will be interesting to see how they perform.

Color Rush Game

For those that are into fashion trends, this will be the last Color Rush game of the season. It will feature all blues for the Colts and all orange for the Broncos. This will be the first year the Colts will wear their color rush jerseys. The Broncos wore theirs during a Thursday Night game in San Diego last season.

Prediction

It is a simple as this. If the Denver Broncos can follow the same formula that they did against the New York Jets last Sunday, this is a win. However, like I mentioned before, Denver has had a difficult time winning in Indiana.

As long as the team can run the ball efficiently and prevent turnovers, this has all the makings for a win. I see the Denver Broncos defense having a field day and the running game performing well. I even think Jamaal Charles gets a touchdown.
