Denver Broncos: Big changes coming to roster and coaching staff

John Elway will have to take a long look at things this offseason, and find out where he went wrong.

Yes, the Broncos have a talented enough roster to compete with anyone in the NFL, outside of the quarterback position at least.

If Denver had a capable quarterback, who knows how things might have been different this season?

Did Elway make a colossal mistake by passing on Kyle Shanahan in favor of Vance Joseph?

Those are questions he needs to ask himself. Certain areas on the roster are understandable when you consider the ‘circle of life’ that is an NFL roster. But Elway’ selection of quarterbacks and his selection of head coach are the most critical decisions he’s facing now as he embarks on the second stage of his career as an executive, having signed a lucrative extension this year.

Elway has to get those two spots correct, and right now, the Broncos don’t appear to have clarity in either of them
