The Defense

Will the final four games of this season be the last of Aqib Talib in a Broncos uniform?

Who else could be gone on the Denver defense?

Honestly, I don’t think the Broncos will make a ton of shocking moves on this side of the ball, letting go of Talib included. Talib’s contract was such that the Broncos would be able to get out of it this coming season with a small dead money hit, and that could provide them with a decent piece of leverage if they want to re-negotiate with Talib, even.

Breaking up the No Fly Zone at this point in time would seem detrimental to some, but it could be the best thing for the Broncos long-term if they are able to free up the funds to add help elsewhere.

Along the defensive front, we know Von Miller isn’t going anywhere, and the Broncos have two key free agent pickups from 2017 — Zach Kerr and Domata Peko — coming back for another season.

Derek Wolfe’s health is a major question mark, and the Broncos have a decision to make with Todd Davis and the depth of the inside linebacker position.

Will the team pay Shaquil Barrett?

The Broncos have invested a lot of money on the defensive side of the football, but they could be looking at some more departures from the vaunted Super Bowl defense this offseason.
