The injured and disappointing Denver Broncos are seeking to find their first road win of the season against some of their old friends who are now Dolphins.

The extremely injured Denver Broncos continue their season Sunday at Miami against the Dolphins. In the words of Darren McKee of FM 104.3 the Fan in Denver, things are rather bleak. Now, these are not propitious circumstances by any stretch of the imagination. The Broncos are in dire straits but the sick players will likely play. This week’s injury list is extensive.

A good rule of thumb to follow for this week is if they’re not “out” they’re generally locks to play. Hopefully, nobody ralphed too much on the plane and everyone remembers to wash their hands.

The Broncos will also be seeing their old QB, Jay Cutler. He gets the start for Miami as he has passed concussion protocol. Star Miami meteorologist Julie Durda sees a beautiful weekend on the horizon at South Beach.

It’s a pity that two of the more disappointing teams in the NFL are playing on such a spectacular day.

Anyway, speaking of ex-Broncos turned Dolphins, TE A.J. Derby was claimed off of waivers by Miami this week.

Our blog boss, Sayre Bedinger, has more information as to just how many Dolphins have Broncos ties.

Thus, it’s quite clear that these squads know each other really well. The Broncos are still searching for the first road win in head coach Vance Joseph’s career. Incidentally, they have won only once in history at Miami.

This came, oddly enough in the Tim Tebow era in 2011 and the Broncos overcame a 15-0 deficit to do it. I honestly have no expectations for this game. The Talib suspension and the fact that defensive stars Derek Wolfe and Domato Peko are out kind of sours me.

The Dolphins are 30th in the NFL in turnover ratio and the Broncos are 31st. This compelled me to tell my Arby’s cashier that I didn’t want any turnovers with my meal the other night.

Seriously, though, I don’t see this going well for the Broncos until they prove otherwise. When you lose seven consecutive games for the first time since 1967, you have to prove to everyone you can win. Anyway, this is your game thread. If Dolphins fans visit, treat them kindly, the Broncos’ way.

GO BRONCOS!!!
