After having his appeal heard, the NFL has decided to reduce Aqib Talib’s suspension for one game instead of two. He will miss Sunday’s game vs. Miami.

Aqib Talib was quick to appeal his suspension from the NFL. Great news for Broncos fans, he won the appeal. Talib will only miss one game as a result.

With the suspension reduction, Talib will only be out of action for the Denver Broncos road contest against the Miami Dolphins. The No Fly Zone corner will be eligible to return on Monday in order to prepare for the New York Jets.

Vance Joseph and John Elway were there to support Aqib Talib in his appeal process. It also turns out that Michael Crabtree won his appeal and will also only serve one game for his actions.

I believe that this makes things a bit better for Aqib Talib and the Denver Broncos. While fans were hoping for a fine, the fact that there was history between these two players, it was the right call to reduce it to just one game.

It does make me wonder if Talib had not gone back a second time, would he had just received a fine? We can play what-if scenarios all day.

What is next for the Denver Broncos? Well, I can see Bradley Roby taking over as the starter for Sunday. But I do believe that this will keep the team from looking at free agency. I believe that Elway will bring up Marcus Rios from the practice squad. The belief could be that they could have him come up for the game and then placed back on practice squad next week, if he clears waivers.

Aqib Talib avoided an extra game of not suiting up. Hopefully he can learn from this and hope it doesn’t happen again.
