The Denver Broncos will be without a member of the No Fly Zone against the Dolphins and Jets as Aqib Talib has been suspended. He plans to appeal.

More than 24 hours after the incident involving Aqib Talib and Michael Crabtree, the NFL has laid down the hammer. Both players will be facing two game suspensions for their actions during the contest yesterday afternoon.

Aqib Talib got into a heated altercation with Michael Crabtree one play after Crabtree sucker punched Chris Harris Jr. Crabtree appeared to go after Talib on the next play and chaos broke out. During the exchange, Tailb ripped off Crabtree’s chain. Helmets and punches were flying during the exchange as well.

Jon Runyan explains the reasoning behind the suspension. He noted Talib’s repeated chain snatching from an incident last year and re-engaging in the fight itself.

This means that Aqib Talib, if the suspension is upheld, will miss this Sunday’s road contest with the Miami Dolphins and the following week’s home contest with the New York Jets. Talib will be eligible to return before the Broncos Thursday night road game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Aqib Talib has already filed for an appeal of the suspension.

This would put the Denver Broncos in a bad spot. Broncos Country saw what Brendan Langley did in Talib’s absence. After he took over, he gave up two touchdowns.

Bradley Roby would most likely start in Talib’s absence. However, there are not many options at the corner back position. Vance Joseph and the Broncos would likely need to make a roster move.

We will see what happens with Aqib Talib now. The Denver Broncos are in a tough spot. Now without one of their top corners and team captains, this could get dicey.
