The Denver Broncos Fanzone continues with a brand new guest. I sit down with Esther Mae and get her takes on the team and on Sunday’s Week 12 contest.

It is no secret anymore. The Denver Broncos need to figure out how they are going to snap this putrid losing streak. It seems like it was just yesterday that the Broncos were 3-1 and in contention for the AFC West title.

I am not sure who took away their mojo during the bye week, but we would appreciate if they could give it back. There is still a chance that the Denver Broncos get to the playoffs. But that hope is currently on life support. A lot will have to happen if there is even a chance of it coming back.

Vance Joseph has decided to start Paxton Lynch to give the team some kind of boost. It will be interesting if he helps out at all. But I honestly think the team is putting him out there to see what he can do. If he struggles like Trevor Siemian and Brock Osweiler have, it will be a long offseason searching for a quarterback.

Maybe a win against the Oakland Raiders is just what the team needs to get back on track. Anything can happen in a rivalry game. We will find out tomorrow afternoon.

This week, I have brought in a new guest for the Denver Broncos Fanzone. Esther Mae is an avid Denver Broncos fan and has her own blog called Confessions of a Sports Girl. It is full of her thoughts on the NFL season, the Denver Broncos, and she even has her own Power Rankings.

I have sat down with Esther and see what she thinks of the season to this point.

Another loss for the Denver Broncos. It seemed as the team keeps searching for answers. What do you think is the reason behind this loss?

There are many reasons for the Broncos loss (and loses), but the key reasons for their loss stems from their game plan and costly mistakes.

Mike McCoy was relieved of his duties as offensive coordinator. Bill Musgrave will take over for the final six games. Do you think this could be a sign of things to come once the season ends as far as coaching changes?

Bill Musgrave will do just fine as the intern OC for the Broncos. He did great things with Carr and the Raiders last season. It’s a good decision considering the timing of the change because the Broncos go against the Raiders this Sunday

As far as other coaching changes to come, that will always be a possibility. Our defense has dropped drastically, from arguably being the best going into the season, to falling down to 28th in the league. If another change were to come, I’d focus on the defensive side of the ball and special teams. We need a special teams player.

Paxton Lynch has been named the starter for the Denver Broncos. How much of an impact do you see him making on the team?

Unfortunately, I don’t see him making much of an impact on the team. This will be his fourth NFL game, third career NFL start when he faces the Raiders. Tape shows he likes to hold the ball far to long. That will lead to injuries and alot of sacks. Our O-line already needs work and this will not help.

Paxton will need to read the field faster so he can make quick decisions to release the football. He will benefit from playing on game day, but I don’t see him as the Broncos future quarterback.

What is your favorite Broncos memory of all time and why?

My favorite Broncos memory was Super Bowl 32 when the Broncos won their first championship against the Packers. I was home watching the game with my Dad, sister and brother. My Dad (was) the biggest fan, but now I am! Ha! And I remember how happy he was to finally see the Broncos win. Side note: That Super Bowl game is a must see!

The Broncos travel to Oakland to take on the Raiders? What do you believe they need to do in order to end this losing streak?

For one, there needs to be some enthusiasm, energy and effort on the field coming from all the Broncos. I noticed they lacked this when I attended the game against the Giants. The time is now.

Second, the Broncos need relax and just play the game. Too many costly penalties and mistakes that could easily be avoided if they don’t get to head of themselves to want to ‘make that play.’  They need to play smart and clean.

Third, don’t keep the defense on the field. We can’t continue to do three and outs offensively. Our defense looks tired and frustrated. The offense need to step it up and put some points on the board. Gotta stick to a run game.

Despite the season, is there one player on the Broncos roster that you have been impressed with this season?

I would have to say wide-out Bennie Fowler has impressed me the most.
