DeMarcus Walker, DL

While at Florida State, DeMarcus Walker proved himself to be a ferocious interior pass rusher. The Denver Broncos have mistakenly changed his position to outside linebacker because of injuries at the position.

To me, that’s a grave mistake, and I think they are realizing it.

While Walker needs to become stronger and perhaps even add more size overall to play consistently on the interior defensive line, the Broncos should give him a shot to play there in the meantime to see if he can provide some sort of rush.

It’s not that the Broncos have struggled on the defensive line, but you should at least give Walker an opportunity to play the position he is best at. To this point, they have kept him on the sideline for the most part, or even a gameday inactive because of his inability to play special teams.

That’s interesting because, Walker had multiple blocked kicks at Florida State…

Perhaps putting him in the right position, the Broncos will get a good chance to see what they have in their young second round pick.
