Teddy Bridgewater, QB

The Denver Broncos are not currently constructed to make a huge move at the quarterback position, like signing Kirk Cousins away from the Washington Redskins.

Could they fit a move like that under their current cap situation?

Sure. The only problem is, it would be really tough to continue to add pieces around a guy like Cousins any way other than nailing every high draft pick, and John Elway hasn’t proven overly successful in that regard to this point.

With someone like Teddy Bridgewater, you would get a financially responsible option and a player that has worked his tail off to prove he can still play after a devastating injury.

Bridgewater also played one of his best games as a professional against the Denver Broncos back in their Super Bowl season when he picked on the defensive backs and made Stefon Diggs a household name.

Bridgewater is the type of veteran option the Broncos could consider because he’s proven he can play at a high level in this league, and the upside is still there if he’s healthy. This could be a nice risk-vs.-reward move for John Elway.
