Denver Broncos vs. Cincinnati Bengals Preview
By Tylor Walden
The Denver Broncos will attempt to end their five game losing streak as they welcome the Cincinnati Bengals to the Mile High City.
At some point, the losing streak the Denver Broncos are experiencing must end, right? Perhaps a date with the Cincinnati Bengals are what the Broncos need. However, the team from the Queen City will not go down without a fight.
This will be the fourth straight year that the Broncos and Bengals have squared off. The Broncos have won the last two meetings since Cincinnati took the win in 2014.
In their Week Three meeting last season, Trevor SIemian had perhaps his best performance to date. Now just a little over a year later, it appears as if he will not even suit up for the game. Brock Osweiler will take the reigns for this meeting. He did help the Broncos beat Cincinnati in 2015 to secure a playoff birth.
It also appears as if this will be the first game in which Paxton Lynch will dress. He will serve as the backup for this game after recovering from a shoulder injury. He suffered the said injury during the Broncos third preseason game.
I can see this game coming down to defense. Both offenses are not equipped to score a lot of points. This game could also decide the season for each team. Both come into the game at 3-6. A win could give them what they need to jumpstart their playoff hopes.
With that said, let us take a look at the matchup between the Denver Broncos and Cincinnati Bengals.

What To Watch For
How short of a leash does Brock Osweiler have?
With Paxton Lynch game day ready, it may not take much to remove the rug from under Brock Osweiler. The Bengals are good at putting pressure on the quarterback. However, running against them should be an easy task. Osweiler should be able to get some solid yards through the air as well.
However, if Osweiler is making costly mistakes and turning the ball over, I would not be surprised to see Paxton Lynch come in at any point. Trevor Siemian will likely be inactive, so perhaps the reigns will be handed off to Lynch.
Can Jordan Taylor make an impact on punt returning?
Isaiah McKenzie had the rug removed from him too. After a costly fumble that got New England started on their road to victory, Vance Joseph made the decision to give the punt returner role to Jordan Taylor.
The only thing Jordan Taylor needs to focus on is catching the football. I don’t foresee him breaking one for a touchdown, but as long as he keeps the ball off the turf, everything will be okay. (knocks on wood)
Prediction
On Friday, I played some Madden and putting a limited amount of influence in the game, the Broncos won convincingly.
However, the Denver Broncos Madden Simulation did not have it going in Denver’s favor.
This game to me could go either way. But there is one thing that I can count on. Defense will decide this game. Both teams need this game. Cincinnati and Denver are both at 3-6. I honestly will say that the home team wins this game. Like in my prediction, a late interception seals the deal. But it will be a low scoring game.
