The Denver Broncos trail the New England Patriots 27-9 going into halftime. I take a look at some of the key moments from the first half.

Well, as of right now, the offense and defense is doing well. But special teams has been the big reason behind the current deficit that the Broncos are dealing with.

The Broncos defense got the team to a good start. They forced a three and out to start the game. However, Isaiah McKenzie muffed the punt and the Patriots recovered. They would score a touchdown on a Rex Burkhead catch.

Denver’s offense responded quickly and were able to get three points. But special teams strikes again. Surprise. Dion Lewis would return the ensuing kickoff 103 yards to pay dirt. That would make the score 14-3.

It was a bit of back and forth for a bit. But special teams would once again cause the Broncos Country fans to yell at their televisions and in the stands. Riley Dixon’s punt was blocked. Luckily, the defense only allowed three points after that.

This game would be so much closer if it was not for the special teams miscues. Brock Olivio must be sweating right now. If the Denver Broncos are going to win this game, the offense and defense will just need to keep at it. And clean up the special teams mistakes.

For how this game is going, Brock Osweiler and the Broncos offense is doing well at this point. Knocking on wood right now, but this is looking good. Emmanuel Sanders is also balling out.

Another thing the Broncos need to do is execute on their drives and score touchdowns. Field goals are not going to get it done against a Brady-led team. And please force the turnovers.

The Broncos will get the football to start the second half. Hope that the team can get something going. Go Broncos!
