Steve Russ, LB – Air Force

A seventh round draft pick from the 1995 draft, the Broncos selected Steve Russ. Russ was a four-year letterman and tallied a second-team All-WAC honors in 1994. The Broncos waited for the opportunity with Russ to join their football team. Russ had to serve his committment with the Air Force. In 1997, Russ united with the Denver Broncos to be a key component of the team.

In that same year, the Air Force Falcon became a special teams component instrumental to Super Bowl win in 1997 and 1998. Russ’ played 24 games with Denver Broncos in three seasons. After his playing career was done, Russ headed back to Colorado Springs to join the Air Force Falcons football staff as an assistant head coach and co-defensive coordinator.
