Third Round, 99th Overall: Jester Weah, WR, Pittsburgh

45. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 99. player. WR. Pittsburgh. JesterWeah

I know that the Denver Broncos have a plethora of wide receivers on the roster already. With so much uncertainty at the position, it would not hurt to have an option through the draft.

There is also this possibility. Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas both have potential outs after the 2018 season. I am not saying that either one of these guys might not wear the orange and blue in two seasons. However, it would be nice to have an outside wide out waiting in the wings in case something was to happen.

Next: Menelik Watson to IR, Cyrus Kouandjio Signed

That is where I think Jester Weah would come into play. He is a solid outside wide out. He can create separation from the corner back and make a big play. It could be a bit odd drafting him only for him to possibly sit out for one year, but it could be well worth the wait.

Even with the outside receivers good for now, I would not sleep on Elway drafting an outside guy in order for him to develop to become the “next man up.”
