Denver Broncos mock draft update — The Broncos appear to be just a quarterback away from contention. Who could they draft to put them over the top?

The Denver Broncos have officially demoted starting quarterback Trevor Siemian, and have promoted Brock Osweiler. What is this team going to do to solidify a quarterback position that has been a revolving door for the past three seasons?

The 2018 offseason will undoubtedly provide us with some answers, but there is still a lot that could happen between now and then.

Specifically, what’s going to happen with Paxton Lynch? At last we saw Lynch, he was struggling badly to do anything right in preseason action. What really doesn’t bode well for Lynch right now, aside from the fact that he’s been injured since week three of the preseason, is the fact that he failed to win the starting job over Siemian, who admittedly was playing much better football at the time and even into the first two weeks of the season.

Lynch was selected by the Broncos in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, so they have to find out at some point what they’ve got.

That’s where I think Osweiler starting could be temporary, at least until Lynch is fully healthy.

You hate just assuming this, but I’m going to make this mock draft for the Broncos assuming the quarterback position remains unresolved after the season, and they decide to start fresh.

Currently, the Broncos are slated to pick 12th in the 2018 NFL Draft. Here’s a potential mock draft to get this team back on track…
