The Denver Broncos made some moves on Tuesday on their roster, but nothing that will impact the game day roster just yet.

In addition to bringing back Kyle Peko to the practice squad, the Broncos re-signed a familiar face in Kevin Snyder, who had been with the team on the practice squad last year.

Snyder also competed with the Broncos this year in the preseason. He played 102 defensive snaps in the preseason, as a matter of fact. The Broncos likely brought him in with the recent injuries at linebacker to Todd Davis and Corey Nelson.

Dillon Day was released from the 53-man roster, which wasn’t entirely unexpected given he was the emergency player brought up with so many injuries to the offensive line.

Day was an underrated story of an otherwise miserable weekend for the Broncos. It was obviously very brief, but since signing on as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State in 2015, the game against the Chargers on Sunday was the first game Day had dressed for in his NFL career.

The Broncos have one spot open right now on the practice squad, and it seems at least somewhat likely that Day could be brought back in that capacity.

If not, the Broncos have a number of other players currently on the active roster who could be candidates to return to the practice squad. Jerrol Garcia-Williams and Hunter Sharp were both added from the practice squad last week, as was offensive tackle Elijah Wilkinson.

Denver has to make room for Shane Ray, who is coming off of a wrist injury. He will likely take Dillon Day’s roster spot after being placed on injured reserve the day after final cuts.

The Broncos are also bringing back Jake Butt soon off the non-football injury list.
