The Denver Broncos trail the Los Angeles Chargers 14-0 at the end of the first half. I take a look at some of the key moments of the first half.
Denver will be looking to go 3-0 in the AFC West. However, it is not looking pretty for them so far. In their first divisional road game, the Broncos currently trail 14-0.
It has clearly shown that the offense has clearly lost more than its mojo. The offensive line is a mess, the running game cannot seem to get going, and we have seen Trevor Siemian get rocked around and lose the football.
Special teams has not really helped the case, as Chargers returner Travis Benjamin returned a punt 65 yards for the first score of the game. The coverage on the special teams kicks have been suspect all season.
But the biggest story is the offense. It cannot get anything going. And when they do, they turn the ball over. A promising first drive ended with a A.J. Derby fumble. The Broncos finally got past midfield during the second quarter. However, Trevor Siemian fumbled the football as he was being sacked.
The bright side to this game, while very small, is the defense. We saw Von Miller pass Karl Mecklenburg on all time sacks. Von now sits at second in Broncos history all time.
What also impressed me was the goal line stance when the Denver Broncos faced just a yard from allowing a touchdown. Four straight stops helped turn the football on downs.

I am not even sure what the Denver Broncos can do at this point. It looks like that they will have to rely on their defense to get something done. But if they cannot force any turnovers, it is going to be a long day.
The Chargers will get the football to start the second half. Let’s get something going Broncos!
