We continue on with the Denver Broncos Fanzone this week as I bring back a great friend of mine. Hear what Ron Greco has to say about the Broncos.

It is time for the Denver Broncos to pick up the pieces and get ready for a big divisional game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The biggest thing that I will be looking for is how the team responds after a loss.

They did a decent job on it the last time they suffered defeat. While it was not the prettiest game, they did come away with a win. Perhaps a divisional game is exactly what the Denver Broncos need.

For the chance to go 3-0 at this point in the division is going to be so important. In order to succeed this season, they are going to need to answer the questions that they are asked.

I am hoping that the Broncos get a big time win in order to get on the path towards a playoff birth. With this being such a huge game, I have decided to bring back a previous person for the Denver Broncos Fanzone that I interviewed two years ago.

Ron Greco is one of my good friends whom I’ve had the chance to talk to in regards to the team. He has quite extensive knowledge and I am glad to have him back.

Let’s see what he has to say about the team and the game on Sunday.

The Denver Broncos got handed a pretty embarrassing loss to the New York Giants. What do you believe was the key reason or reasons why they lost on Sunday?

Embarrassing is right. Especially coming off of a bye week at home. I think the entire team, and the crowd was flat. We were out coached and out played on both sides of the ball. We had zero run game and Trevor didn’t look good. Have to help him out by running the ball better.

Trevor Siemian, while throwing for over 300 yards, did not look impressive. What do you believe is the reason behind his slump?

I have no idea what is going on with Trevor but he seems to have regressed since week two. Since after the first quarter in Buffalo week three something has seemed off with him. He keeps locking on to one receiver (like a lot of young QBs do.) He needs to improve his reads, and his decision making and get rid of the ball quicker and I believe he will but he needs to show it.

It seems as if Brandon McManus cannot hit his stride at home and has not been accurate. Was it a mistake to pay him that much money or do you think he can improve?

Kickers are a weird breed. It’s all mental with them. I don’t think it was a mistake to pay him but time will tell on that one. I think he can get his issues corrected, but it’s hard to tell if he will. Once kickers lose their confidence things can go south fast. I hope that he can improve and get over this cold streak he’s been on but he’s gotta nail a few in a row to get his confidence back.

The Denver Broncos take on the Los Angeles Chargers in the first of three road games. What will it take to beat a Chargers team that seems to have found some motivation the past two weeks?

What it will take to beat the Chargers is a strong run game, and limiting the turnovers. Especially while we’re without McKenzie and Sanders. We absolutely can not lose the turnover battle and expect to win this game. We also need to stop Melvin Gordon early and often and get to Rivers as often as possible. The Chargers are better than people think despite their record. I hope last weeks Giants loss was a wake up call and not a sign of things to come.

Is there any player that you think needs to bounce back in a big way on Sunday? Why?

I think Trevor needs to bounce back and have a good game. He needs to be confident and the guys around him need to have confidence in him. If Trevor plays well and we can run the ball, we should win. I also think the front 7 in general need to perform like they did before the Bye week. We can’t let Gordon run all over us like Darkwa did or we’ll be in for a long day on Sunday.
